Audit logging

Audit logs are detailed records of all actions performed within the X-Guard Alarm Cloud. They are an essential part of our security and compliance processes, providing visibility into who performed which actions within the system and when.

Access to audit logs

Currently, audit logs are only available to application administrators within X-Guard. However, we are working on expanding this functionality so that Customer Administrators will also be able to view audit logs through the Management Dashboard.

The customer-facing version of the logbook does not include the names of X-Guard B.V. personnel. Instead, these names are anonymized to protect the privacy and safety of our employees.

Retention period

The retention period for audit logs is determined by the type of data and the entity being recorded. This information is transparently available on our data points page.

Security and compliance (ISO 27001)

X-Guard applies strict security measures in managing audit logs. This includes:

• Restricted access to log data, only for authorized users;
• Continuous monitoring for anomalies and suspicious activities;
• Logging of all system actions according to the ISO 27001 standard;
• Protection of availability, integrity, and confidentiality of all data.

By combining these measures, we ensure that all information within the X-Guard Alarm Cloud is managed according to the highest standards of information security and privacy protection.
